Microsoft Access Runtime Downloads

What is Access Runtime?

Microsoft Access Runtime is a free version of Access that allows you to run Access applications including entering, deleting and modifying records. Essentially, it is designed for users to be able to use an application created by a developer with a full licence. It does not have any of the development and design tools of a full version of Access so you cannot make any changes to the design of an application and you can't use the built-in menus or create your own queries, or anything like that.

From 2010 onwards Runtime comes in 2 versions: 64 bit and 32 bit. A 32 bit version will work on a 64 bit computer but the 64 bit version will not work on a 32 bit computer.

All the Access applications available for download on our website work in 32 bit versions of MS Access.

If you want to know about the benefits of using Microsoft Access in your business, you can read about these here.

For a smoother download, the installation files for Access Runtime are inside .zip files. Once you have finished downloading the file, right-click on it and click on Extract All. Follow the instructions to extract contents of the .zip. Once done you will have a .exe file in the location you extracted the zip to. Double click on the .exe to begin installation.

Please note that you should not install a run-time version of Access if you already have a full version installed as they may conflict.

All Access Runtime files originally came from Microsoft and are distributed here with their permission.

Don't just take our word for it...

"I would like to say thanks to yourself and your team for all your hard work.
We are very happy with the quoting system; for the first time ever we are looking at a system in which we have confidence."
